New Harley rider from Lancaster,ca
Hey everyone!
just got my 1st harley finally & loving it ,i have had dual sport bikes but they don't even compare..
I'm looking forward to hanging around these forums

Lucky you! I used to live in Acton, CA next to Lancaster. I loved that area. Used to prospect for gold at Soledad Mt. by town of Mohave and sold gold ore from a mine in Acton on Soledad Canyon Road just look north as you leave Acton you will see the mine. There's some real nice visible gold still there for the taking. Since you are new, you should read a book, Proficient Motorcycling. That book will keep you alive and out of the wheel chair from accidents. Written by a CHP commander who instructs the CHIP's biker cops. You got to read it. I am glad I did. And tell your friends too to read the book. (I don't publish the book). I used to work at Henry Mayo Hospital in Newhall. I miss SoCal but the overpopulation is a bit out of control for me. Enjoy LA as it is one of the very best places on planet Earth. I used to love going to Rodeo and Beverly Hills, beaches, Magic Mountain, Disney, Knots Berry Farm. Like I said, lucky you. Make sure you go to all those places. One thing I missed is the motorcycle magazines are in SoCal, Ventura has Cycle Magazine I think. You should check them out. They got haunts and meets with professional riders you can meet. Okay, welcome Harley Rider!
