Welcome Wounder Woman!! Hope you enjoy your skirtster as much as I did. Just traded mine in last week on a Heritage.
Lot's of great humor and info to be had on this website.
Ride on, ride safe, and most of all, ride!

Welcome from Missouri Jessica. My wife is torn between wanting her own bike or just being a passenger. I told her there are plenty of lady riders out there.

I'm in the same boat as you Jessica, I too bought a sportster and have never ridden before. I am signed up for the safety course in a couple of weeks and am both nervous and excited to learn.

Everyone keeps telling me I should start on something smaller, I hope they are wrong.

My better half brought a 13 sportsters and i have had horses that i run barrels on and really isnt his thing so I brought mine to ride with him and i actually feel more comfortble driving myself than being a passenger lol I took my first road trip of 150miles on my 2nd day of ever riding on the road. i never rode a dirt bike or anything before buying the bike lol i didnt even test drive it until i brought it. I love it

I was told that as well. I rode the bike around my horse pasture for 2 days getting used to taking off and the clutch 3rd day i said crap miles well hit the road so i did. and 4th which was my 2nd day of riding on the road i did a 150mile trip. you have to get used to the wind from vechiles is my biggest thing i dont like. I also was sign up for the safety course but didnt go after i learn what you would be learning on
