exhaust
Hello- I have a 2012 streetglide and looking to put some pipes on my bike I prefer to put on the bolt on style rather then replace the entire exhaust. It has pipes on each side so the exhaust will be different from any bikes before 2012 which had the single exhaust. I do NOT want deafening loud exhaust just a nice throaty rumble. Does anyone have any ideas wish i could hear some before I buy. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I suggest you go to a couple bike nights in your area or a dealer or other shop where bikes are going to assemble so you can look and listen and ask questions.

I just put MGS exhaust on my 2012 Streetglide. Great low rumble when idling and a powerful Harley sound when you get on the throttle. I can still hear my radio easily when going down the road. I highly recommend them.

Welcome to the forums. I remember when I first got into customizing and ventured into changing exhaust. I thought it was as simple just changing out the pipes. Some folks on the forums will say that it is that simple.
I would consider looking at some other bikes and trying to find out what you like. Then do a consultation with two different type of experts (maybe HD and an Indy) to find out the different things they recommend.
I ended up changing to a sweet new exhaust, upgraded the air intake and modified the way the bike processes the air/gas mixture. This "stage 1 upgrade" was both more expensive and more involved than I had originally planned. After lots of research and a few months on the forum, I learned what I needed to know. In the end, I did one major upgrade and made sure that my bike runs at peak performance.
