Welcome neighbor! Where to begin? First off, decide on whether you want a heavy or light bike. That at least should give a direction to point in. What are you looking to ride it for? Short rides around the neighorhood with a few interspersed medium length trips or are looking for something that you can take ont he highway for extended periods? Once you answer these questions then you can get a better idea of what direction to go with a build.
Used to own a 883 sporty. Want something stronger but want to build. No idea where to start. Any books or resources would be helpful!
Thanks
Chris

Specifically i wanted something kinda lighter.. something along the lines of a dyna wide glide.. I ride everywhere weather permitting but i dont do super long highway rides usually. I was thinking an evo engine build but I dont know if i can just drop that into a dyna frame or what goes with what etc. My uncle airbrushes crazy well and I work in a machine shop.. so I thought I could have my own little theme bike type project.
