Allow me to introduce myself
Hey everyone, just joined the forum today and have only been a member of the Harley Davidson family for about a month. Just bought a 2013 883 iron Sportster. Came to me with 6 miles on it. I couldn't help myself and despite some snow I was able to put 50 miles on it. I understand for the first 500 miles you are supposed to alternate speeds. While I was doing this on the highway my engine oil light came on. Only lasted about 45 seconds so I'm hoping it was just the new bike settling in. Rode it the next day for 20 miles with no problems.
About me...did 8 years in the Army as a combat medic, two tours in Iraq. Am currently working at the local VA hospital and going to nursing school. Other hobbies include history, rebuilding my 64 F100, and my favorite hobby hanging out with my 7 year old little boy. Going to try to post a picture if i can. Hope everyone is safe and staying warm....Duke
