Default New to riding

Just purchased a 05 Road King FLHRI about a month ago. I have never been on a street bike in my life until I purchased this one but, I grew up riding dirt bikes. If any of you experienced riders have any tips, tricks or advice for a guy that is new to this world. It would be greatly appreciated. Im not real interested in high power modifications but, things (other than regular maint.) that would extend the life of my bike and improve the quality of riding. Thanks in advance for your time and advice.

Welcome from MD! You will find lots of terrific advice on this forum, also good advice on various motorcycle websites. Here is something I put together that you will hopefully find useful:

Welcome from Ct.
The only advice I can give you is,
Don't expect to do what you did on your dirt bike, on your Harley.

Hello from Redcar Englang.
What i would say is change your own oils and filter regular it makes you feel good about the bike and it will last longer. The other things i would say is ride as often as you can, plan your moves by thinking ahead and don't trust any other road users.
Good luck with the bike and have fun.
