New to riding

I'm also new to riding, but I have a suggestion. Look and see if your state offers Motorcycle Safety Courses. In PA you can take them for free at community colleges and such. I've taken it and I learned a lot. And I've spoken to veteran riders that will admit that even after 30 years of riding, they still learned something. I highly recommend it.
Welcome to the forum and have fun with the new ride!

Welcome to the forum from Indiana.
I found these books to have some very useful information even after many years of riding.
Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well by David L. Hough
Maximum Control: Mastering Your Heavyweight Bike by Pat Hahn
Available at most book stores and Amazon.
I'm sure there are others as well.
