Default Cam recommendations for 103ci Fat Boy Lo

I want to put some cams in my bike and wanted some feedback from others who may have already done this. I have a 2012 Fat Boy Lo with the 103ci and I'm looking to boost the low end. I already have Vance and Hines Big Radius pipes and plan on getting a free flowing air cleaner very soon. I understand how cams are measured but I am not sure which measurements boost the low etc. I was also considering a big bore kit and was wondering if I should do this first or try the cams to see what performance I get out of those.

Any advise would be truly appreciated.....

Default Cam Choice

I installed the Woods TW555 in my 96" with the lifters and adjust. push rods for a huge gain. It starts to pull at 2500 all the way to 6000 with stock valve springs. This is on a Street Glide, yours would pull harder being a lighter bike! This cam will work with 96" all the way to 110", I'm still not seeing full benefit until I go with higher compression ratio. That will happen when I go to a big bore kit in a couple months. It's sold thru Fuel Moto, have on-line videos on how to install & have dyno charts to show torque/hp curves. Don't forget about remapping your fuel! Good Luck!

Try the following thread. Recently, one member has even been posting step-by-step photos, including a Fuel Moto kit.

I've got a 103 Fatboy and my advice is forget cams, just get a Powervison kit with their billet air cleaner(now on sale). They will load the right map for your bike and I'll bet it'll make you smile. I put V&H pipes and the above and it woke the bike up, lots of bottom end as that's where I ride, cruising between 2000 and 3000, perfect.
Not affiliated just a happy customer,
Jon
