hello from sunny south florida
I'm obviously new here and to the motorcycle world in general. I've always wanted a Harley since i was a little kid, but my mom was dead-set against me ever riding a scoot, so i had to sneak rides on my buddy's honda 50. Well, now i'm older (39) and am seriously looking at getting my first bike. I will take the road safety course and learn as much as i can. Anything you experienced riders can share is a great help. I've been looking at the sportsters, doing a ton of research, and come the new year, i hope to finally plunk down some $$ for the bike and "start paying some taxes"

Welcome bromigo. Spend the money and do it. It is well worth all the enjoyment you will have. Florida has some great places to ride too. I always liked ripping through the Everglades and down to the Keys.

Welcome from sunny Sin City!
There are several bikes that you may like. After you get some experience under your belt maybe try renting a couple and go from there... In the end it's your $ and you need to be happy with it.
