Welcome to the forum!

OK, I'm new and confused. This IS the new member section, defined as "A place to introduce yourself and tell us what you ride."

So how can a welcome to the forum response be "Spam?"

Most of the new members ask questions in their first post and always seem to be welcomed but rarely get their question answered..I figured it was the way.

Welcome Mike....enjoy the forums.

Some people (who will remain nameless) come into the new member section and cut/paste the same damn welcome message over and over. Sometimes (like I saw just yesterday) a guy posts the same welcome message 3 time in one day to THE SAME THREAD each about a half hour apart. I've seen welcome threads from 3 years ago get revived. For some it seems they are not trying to welcome someone as much as they are trying to increase their post count. Like they don't even read the post. If the guy just says something along the lines of Hi, Hi from..., great to be here, etc. then fine. If the guy has a specific question and all you say is welcome how does that make the guy feel welcome?
