nothing better than watching an XR750 on a mile dirt track. also enjoy watching the drag bikes.
the ama flat track is pretty competitive these days--jay springsteen and his old tuner bill werner have a nice kawasaki team--look for them to do well this year.
will be interesting to see how the vance & hines v-rods do after the rule changes. karen stoffer is losing her geico sponsorship and that money is going to the arana's/lucas oil racing program. the hectors(buells) and the harleys...going to be a great year.
planning to go to daytona for the short-track and gainesville for the gatornationals(first bike race of n.h.r.a. season), springfield mile and u.s. nationals at indy. it is a shame there are not more dirt track bike races--it is a long way from south texas to get to any of them. went to tucson for the 1/2 mile last month...rode a little over 600 miles the first day and still had close to another 200 miles to get out of texas the next morning. daytona is over 1,200 miles and springfield is a little over 1,000 miles. at least it gives me an excuse to get out and rack up some miles!
