Hi and welcome from Virginia!
I've been riding for years but I just made the jump from metric cruiser to HD a few months ago. Metric was a financial decision for sure: I paid more for my used 2008 FLSTC than my last 3 bikes combined
We'll see if it turns out to be 3 times the bike, maintenance-wise. But so far it is worth it on the comfort of the ride.

Hello all !! I am new to the forum, but it looks like a great place to meet, and learn new things about bikes. I ride an Ultra '07, and have ridden since l970, but the Ultra is my first HD, and I bought it in 2010 when I retired from work. My wife saw me looking at a J&P catalog, and said "If you're still looking at bikes, just go buy one". I was out the door and at the dealership before she could change her mind!! Now, I can't leave the yard without her on the back...I am glad she is happy with the bike. She has been sick, and riding seems to cheer her up. Question : Where can I get the best deal on the 120R ? Here in G.R., the dealership offered an engine for $8k, all included. I have heard they can be bought for $5k;is that true?
