I test drove the Switchback and think it delivers on the light touring-switch to cruiser concept. It's plenty roomy enough for you and the Mrs, and would be quite nice for day and overnight trips. I think it would be great for you. It comes equipped with the quick detachable bags and windshield, so you won't have to spend extra $$$$ on those items after the purchase. All the reviews say it handles well too. Go for it!
