Hello,

Been using this forum for my number one source to my questions. I've made up my mind to save up cash over the winter and buy my first Harley. Figured I should sign up now and be active to learn more. I've never ridden a Harley before. I have a few friends that are older guys that are willing to allow me to ride their bikes to become familiar on riding. Thankful for that.

As of now I'm looking into a Softail Heritage. I believe I'll be doing about 1/3 of my riding in town and 2/3 on highway. Heritage seems like the best of both worlds. I live 10 miles outside of a small town. And the older guys I'll be riding with like to ride highways. One of my friends mentioned a Deuce which I like but I think I would rather have comfort. I'll test ride both when the time comes.

I'm 30 years old, 6'3", 34" inseam, and 205 lbs.

Anyways, glad to be here and ready to learn.

Welcome.

You'll likely want some storage and saddlebags are nice although one bag behind you looks cleaner.

Heritage doesn't have great cornering clearance, but plenty tour on them.
