Looking to buy my first Harley
I was wondering is it worth purchasing the maintenance program the dealer is pushing when you buy a new bike? This is my first bike purchase and i be damned if its not like buying a car. I hate buying cars. Thanks

Depends if you're handy or not, also how much you intend to ride. If you are going to ride often and don't like changing your own oil and are going to have it done at the dealer and not an Indy, get the plan, otherwise save the $$$ and do it yourself or take it to an Indy. Purchase the service manual and DIY and you'll be surprised how easy it is, and how good it makes you feel, BTW, welcome from Florida.

There are a lot of good low mile used ones out there. 3000$ off the price of a new bike. Bought my 48 with 1300 miles for 4000$ off list price. Cycle trader.com and Craig's list. Do a 100 mile search unless you want to drive a little further. 200 miles is my limit. Any ways some times "like mine" they have payed on it for a year on a four year note and didn't use it for what ever reason and just want to get rid of it. Kinda like a car. You drive it off the lot and automatically loose 2000$ or so right then. As for mods later, this forum is very helpful on indecision of what way to go by forming a pros and cons result. As far as tricks to help install its helpful as well. So welcome to the forum fromTeXas
