Back after 10 years of no riding- good to be on a bike again.
Like a needle full of some magic drug hitting a vein, I ended up riding a friends motorcycle a month ago after ten years being in a cage. I decided at that moment of pulling in the clutch and popping his crappy bike into 1st gear- I was getting another bike, and soon.
So began the search for what I used to ride; a Yamaha Venture. I had 10 years on a 1983 model and loved it. I was a young guy on a old mans bike but rolling in style and comfort! The more and more I searched, I kept coming back to HD bikes. Once I realized the cost of a used- late model was in my financial reach; I went all in. Picked out a 2006, Ultra Classic with 23,300 miles on that was purchased from Lake Erie Harley Davidson in Black Cherry. The previous owner must have been OCD about his/her toys as this thing is CLEAN! Spotless and perfectly maintained and runs so nice!!! Picked it up last Thursday and took Friday of work then kissed my wife goodbye and spent the past three days easing back into the two wheel lifestyle. 500 miles of cornering, turning, braking and getting to be at one with my Ultra Classic. Amazed at how it comes back? Absolutley amazed at this machine and it's ride and handeling...
Anyhow, wanted to introduce myself and sany that I will be rooting around this site to gain insight, knowledge and learn anything I can to enjoy and improve my time on the bike and in my garage....
