Welcome to the board and sorry to hear about those deer. They should have to take a road safety course cause they can be hell on a biker. Hope you'll stick around and enjoy.

Wow!

Welcome from LA.

I'd say glad you're okay but you got pretty banged up.. so glad your healing.

I rode home after I dismounted other then I planned once.. sore as hell and missing skin. Nothing broken but limped for weeks and the road rash never went away.
the good news on that one.. I rode home.

Sounds like your going to be riding soon.. enjoy it.

Next week! Seems like I'm hearing that alot lately. Seems as some of my dealers mechanics are on vacation or something. He told me that he would have my bike ready in ten days when I took it to him after the wreck. Then he had problems getting the frame from Harley. Had to have my 05 VIN on the frame. Oh well, maybe next week. It's been excellent riding weather for the last six weeks but as soon as I get my bike back it will probably turn into monsoon season. Good thing I got some rain gear!! As long as there's no ice, I'm riding!! Really wanted to make some of the HOG runs but it doesn't look good. Might be best as it seems that alot of new bike owners have never had a bike before. There were seven wrecks at the WV HOG rally this year. Speed and mountains don't mix very well. Anyway, as soon as I get it back I will post some pics. Pretty straight forward though, 05 Ultra, Vivid Black. Only add on so far is the comfort stich backrest that came in the day after my wreck....bummer. At least I didn't have to replace it......Later...Trebin

Welcome trebin and sorry to hear about your accident. I live in Fort Drum New York and about a month i missed a deer by inches "i think i grazed it's tail" anyways, it all happend to fast for me to react. It was a good thing all it wanted to do was cross the street and not stop in front of the bike. lol.
