Welcome , I am also in Afghanistan, looking forward to riding when I get home. You are on the right track. My current ride is a 2011 wide glide, had a 2007 street glide and a 1999 road king with apes and loved both of them, just wanted to try out the wide glide only got 300 plus miles on it before over here again. Take care and watch your six.

Welcome Chief and thank you for your service from North Carolina! Thanks also to all who are deployed and reading this. My son was in the invasion in 2002 with the 101st!

BTW, the street glide gets my vote!!

Yes that sums it up looking hard at the Street Glide. Didn't have an AAFES around where I'm at but they do have one in Kuwait. On R @ R in Portugal and checked them out at 2 dealers over here. Thanks.

Any of the 3 would be good. It's more personel choice and what fits you better. If you are long legged, the Lo may be a bit low to the ground for you but still may be a better fit for you. I suggest that you try before you buy to get a better feel for what fits you best.
I totally agree with this statement! Thanks for your service and hope you go home soon! I have ridden many years and have made many mistakes because of the trends and the new bikes and accesories. Just do your homework, make sure you are willing to ride that bike as long as it takes to pay it off. There's always going to be a bike that's bigger and badder than yours. Just ride because you like to ride...

Welcome and thank you for your service! All the bikes are great choices, but I think you would be happiest long term with the Street Glide.
