Hi Fellow HD riders
Just registered here, so thought I'd get acquainted. I am an old dude, like so many of us. Retired from teaching over thirty years here in California and in Europe. I first started riding around 50 years ago on Honda 50s and 80s. Owned a few bikes over the next twenty years, all metric. the best was my 1971 750 Honda that I bought in Germany and road all over Europe. That was an experience, not many bikes there then. I was actually pulled over on the Autobahn once by the Polizei who only wanted to look at my bike. I aways thought Harley's were over-rated and overpriced until I met my new wife around three years ago and she owned a 2007 Street Bob. After I road it a few times, I decided I had to get a Harley. Neither one of us was interested on riding on the back. I found a beautiful money green 99 Road King Classic about a year ago with 16,000 miles on it. Perfect shape with lots of upgrades and chrome. It still had the original front tire on it. Now I am an avid Harley fan despite all the little idiosyncrasies of the beast and the lightening of the wallet. My wife and I are looking for like-minded folks near us to go on rides with. Any riders from our area (Fresno, Madera, Oakhurst, Mariposa) interested in hooking up for a cruise, let me know.
