Project bike
Hello everyone, I hope I am posting this in an area where it is appropriate.
I am on a limited budget and I really want to work on getting a Harley any way that I can. I will be honest, I don't have a license yet (getting in spring) but I do have experience riding bikes. My father had a Harley and when he passed away I had no interest in riding motorcycles being a new father. I was offered a bike for only $500, paint was sweet still, but needed a lot of work. probably a whole year and couple thousand dollars, if not more, in parts. I am kicking myself for not jumping on this deal.
Now that time has passed I am looking for a bike. I actually prefer a project bike because I am able to work on it at my pace, customize it to my liking, and feel satisfied when Im on it!
My question, where could I find a Harley that may need slight paint, and mechanical work that I can get a good price. Hoping not to spend much more than a couple thousand seeing my local shop can offer a slightly used bike for 5 thousand that is ready to drive right off the floor needing zero work. If anyone can direct me in a good direction I would appreciate it! Thanks everyone.
