New Iron ... New Rider
Before this past summer I'd never parked my a$$ on a bike. I've had it on my must-do list since I was a kid. Always seemed a bit schizo about what I thought would be my perfect ride, but never had a Harley on my radar. Because it's been on the back-burner for most of my life, sometimes the whole notion of riding slipped off the radar. But when I saw the Iron about a year ago, I knew that it was time. Started digging, drooling and researching the sh*t out of this thing. I booked my M1 roadtest and before I even ride my first bike (of any kind), I've got a deposit put down with a 3 month wait ahead of me. Gotta say, longest 3 months of my life. But what's even crazier, in spite of all the expectation that builds up over 3 months, it still managed to surpass anything I could've imagined. Got it a couple weeks ago and have managed to get 500 kms on 'er already. I got the straight drag bars put on with the (now commonplace, but sweet nonetheless) V&H staggered black shorties. Man, what a thing of beauty ... And she roars like a f**kin' lion ready to tear you a new one. Let's just say when I'm not riding, all I think about is riding. I found my new vice. Thanks HD.
