Can someone FINALLY sort this out for me
I'm looking at getting a harley. I live in Alberta, Canada. I want to buy a harley from the states and bring it here. Now I've heard people say that you have to go through Deeley canada and get everything switched over at a Harley dealership, and some people said they didn't need to do anything at all. So its coming down to crunch time and I NEED TO KNOW. Harley dealerships won't help me because they want to make a sale.
SO
What i need to know is can I switch it over to a centre brake light and get away with that?
Like I don't get how this deeley company can manage used harleys? If I buy a bike from the states they shouldn't give a **** what happens to it, its out of their hands. Its like any other vehicle I should be able to bring it here, get it inspected, pass it, and register it. None of this submitting forms to deeley (which by the way should use email and not faxes, really who faxes anymore) and getting everything approved.
I'm not even worried about the transport canada and RIV stuff I'm more worried about Deeley.
I'm sorry if I sound rude in all this I'm just trying to find a straight answer. Can I bring it here to alberta, what mods are NEEDED and can I do them myself.
Thank you
