Welcome from MI. I'm new too, just had surgery on my hip 5 weeks tomorrow and ended up with drop foot on my right foot, which means it just hangs there. Cannot feel or move it. I bought a new sundowner deep bucket classic seat and went for a nerve racking 10 mile ride the other day and was able to ride. Thank God. There was no way I could sit all winter wondering if I could ride. I just have to take both my feet off the foot boards about 5-10 feet before I come to a stop to help balance myself. Can't come to the nice controlled balanced stop with my feet on the boards (the cool way), then put my feet down. Oh well, I did it and I can relax knowing each day I am getting stonger and regardless if I cannot move my right foot or not, I will be able to ride. Some of you had heard this already, but I had to give an update somwhere and I am happy as hell, so I just decided to post it here.
