My first two bikes were YZF's. I still like sport bikes but there's nothing like the sound and look of an HD. I have an 883 and love it. I bought it bone stock but now it looks like an Iron model with z-bars. It's not the fastest thing out there but I don't feel the need to drag race very often.

Welcome to the forum from ND. As far as power goes there are lots of ways to make the Iron faster. You could start by bumping it up to the 1200. But I have seen people go as far as turbos etc. To get the last of the speed out of their sportsters.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada!

I have owned many different metric bikes in the past and recently purchased my first Harley ( 1998 Dyna ). It's a completely different ride and I have to say...I have never been on a bike so comfortable. I can't even imagine how comfortable the touring models are...

Congrats on your purchase!!

My first ride and I was grinning ear to ear like the cat that ate the cannary...lol
