New Rider/Owner
Hello everyone! At the ripe age of 56, I attended the 3-day MSF course (2 weeks ago) and today got my '12 Fat Bob delivered to the house.
This is my first motorcycle, and the MSF course was the ONLY time i had ridden - ever.
Puttered up the driveway and up a couple of blocks in my neighborhood. Got back and was exhausted from the adrenline dump!
I think it'll be some time before I am ready for the road...

Hi Jim,
I remember when i bought my Night Rod. Like you, i was stoked and in shock because i just spent a ton of money and haven't explained it to my wife yet. I've learned to ask for forgiveness later, besides life is too short so go out and enjoy it.
Ride safe!

Welcome from Connecticut.
You sound just about like me: got my first bike, a 1200 Sportster, last year, and at just about the same age. You're going to love it. First thing I noticed: these things don't have seat belts !
Enjoy !

Welcome to the world of motorcycling.
The MSF is a good start but it only scratches the surface of training. Keep practicing in the parking lot. Then head over to Greensboro where there is a Ride Like A Pro program. That will make a difference too.
Ride safe.
