Greetings from North of the 49th...
I will start off by saying that this is a great forum. I have been slowly getting the feel for the board since purchasing my 1st H-D about a month ago. The value of these forums is incalculable, and it is great to find a couple of good ones for the H-D, much as I have with the Concours Owners Group site for my Councours.
I have been riding on and off since about 9 years old, with the last 3 years being at the helm of a 2002 Kawasaki Concours. Great bike, and I am fortunate enough to be able to keep it and have my Harley too…
To that end, I have finally fulfilled a dream, and taken delivery of a 2005 Glacier White Pearl Ultra. I love the bike, and am starting to log as many miles as possible when work and weather allow.
I hail from a suburb of Vancouver, BC, and in my most recent career incarnation, I am an administrator in the film industry. ‘Stargate SG1’, ‘Stargate Atlantis’ being my current projects, with ‘X-Men 2’ and ‘I’ Robot’ also being in my recent credits. I am an ex-Paramedic, hence the handle, and many, many moons ago dabbled in my boyhood dream of Law Enforcement. I continue with pre-hospital care as an advanced first aid attendant, and first aid supervisor.
I have a lady friend with whom I share a love of bikes, and the current project is getting her licenced and out on her own 1993 Honda Shadow.
My favorite place is in central BC, just north of 100 Mile House, which is my 'home town', the place we leave, but always go back to... I have a couple of acres on a lake there, and eventually plan to retire there. However, as we all know, life is what happens when your busy making other plans...
I look forward to interacting with the group, and hopefully can return some of what I have already received from the group!
Ride safe

Howdy Scott, welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have an extensive list of credits to your name, it sounds like we are the lucky ones that you are joining our family. Enjoy the ride

Hi Motormedicus,
Welcome and congratulations on fulfilling your dream. I'll bet that ultra's a real beauty! Funny, my dream has always been to see British Columbia. I think it has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Anyway, I hope you have a good time here and we look forward to hearing from you.
