RE: sleepless in the poconos
Howdy from Florida, you will like it here, there are a bunch of great people. I am kind of new myself, they have all been really helpful with my questions. Enjoy the site. By the way the bike you are thinking about is what I got last week. Yes it is normal to sit and dream. I have already put a thousand miles on my bike in my mind. here is a picture of mine as it was coming out of the crate at my dealer.

Welcome from central IL. The sleepless nights and dreaming are common. BTW, has anyone warned you to stock up on Advil? After you get the bike, you smile from ear to ear so much that your face gets sore and you'll need the Advil.

RE: sleepless in the poconos
Thanks for all the welcoming remarks folks! TC, my home is in Stroudsburg. TWrecks, the Poconos is what used to be a vacation hot spot for the New York City Metropolitan area residents who wanted to vacation in the mountains instead of the sea shore. Today, 75 miles away from NYC, it has become a bedroom community ... meaning many many people live here and commute to work to the NYC metro area.
Enough of the tourism talk ... Here I am at 4 something in the morning and my body is saying "stay in bed and sleep" and my heart and mind are restlessly waiting for Friday to get here.
Of the many things I'm grateful for, one at the top of my list is the fact that the local dealership has not yet started to charge me rent! They love to talk Harleys and seem to have endless patience for a guy like me who lives close enough to make it almost a daily stop just to spend some time around all the Harleys. I think they'll be equally happy to see me riding my new bike out of there on Friday.
Okay, back to the sack ... after a quick stop at HD's website.

RE: sleepless in the poconos
Congratulation on the Ultra, BigBob. Yes it is completely normal. Either that or I'm nuts too! I just picked up my RK a few weeks ago and did not sleep well until the day I got it home. Post some pics when you get it, we would all love to see it. By the way, the dealer will give you an accessory catolog that is about 700 pages of goodies. In my house it is referred to as "The Bible", and yes it is normal to keep the "bible" next to the john for easy access.
Good luck and congrats

RE: sleepless in the poconos
Welcome from Texas!
The best advice I can give you is to get a comfy chair in the garage LOL.That way you can sit for hours thinking about all the things you want to do to the new sled.Oh I wish I could say the sleepless nights are almost over but I'd be lieing due to the fact it will take a couple of weeks or so to stop stareing at the new Beauty.
Goodluck with the sleep thing, welcome aboard (glad to have you here)
