Ridin' Harleys since 1964-hi there from NJ
Current bikes are an 05 Harley Deuce and an 07 Triumph Bonneville T100. The Harley is faster and more comfortable and 10 hours in the saddle is normal. The Bonny is for when I get tired of heaving around a 700lb motorcycle and want to just tool around on a nice middleweight for a change. It's a couple hundred pounds lighter.
I started out learning to wrench in a garage back in 1964 and the boss gave me a '63 Duo-Glide FLH as part of the deal. Since I learned how to strip a few Harleys down to the mains and re-build them to feel and run better I have stuck with the brand for the most part. At my age it is too late to start over learning a new kind of bike and for what? My Deuce can run a 13 sec quarter, cruises comfortably at 85 and corners so well it is intoxicating. It actually handles better than my recent Suzuki SV6560 and out-does my Triumph in most respects (except weight, lol).
Hello to all my fellow riders. I only hope you are having as much fun as I am. Now that I am retired I am out on the road finally, without having to think about a lot of the old mundane concerns of a workin fellow. Hope to see you sometime and happy trails!

What a friendly welcome, thanks
Nice. I'm much obliged. Stuck in a picture of the latest Harley as we all seem to get identified with how we build out our bikes. Anybody remember when we called 'em "scooters"? Ha! I called mine a scooter once and a very serious fellow informed me not to do that as Harleys are "real bikers" not scooter drivers. As if I don't know that after riding them for almost 50 years, haw haw.
Anyway you all made me feel welcome and I appreciate that. That's my kind of riders. Even if you are all riding on a bunch of scooters...
