Another new guy...

RE: Another new guy...
Wow... thanks for the warm welcome guys!
TxMoores & IndyHSC - I actually just took the BRC course last month and that's what REALLY got me hooked. I was a bit of a bike nut before, but now I really enjoy riding and I'm looking forward to getting a bike of my own (I'm actually heading down to our local DMV tomorrow to take the test and get that motorcycle endorsement put on my license). Next step... rent a Harley for the weekend!
dirtnap664 - I'm looking to pick up a Softail Deuce (fingers crossed). I was thinking I'd pick up an '06 over this winter, but now I'm seeing/hearing the rumors of cats being put on the 2006 bikes, which I'm not crazy about. So, now I think I'll be searching for a leftover '05 or a 'slightly used' older Deuce. I had a chance to take a '96 Softail Standard for a spin about a week ago and fell in love with that softail style. Of course, per IndyHSC's recommendation, the Heritage is a pretty trick machine too! But to me, I think the Deuce is the bike for me (of course, we'll see if that changes once I actually test ride it!).
TCSTD - I'm located on the CT shoreline. Ever hear of Milford? It's right in between Bridgeport and New Haven (both cities have pretty nice Harley dealerships!). But yeah, Westchester is just a quick shot over the state line from me.
Thanks again for the warm welcome all... see you out there!

Hey Krenshaw, welcome aboard
I am new to the forum also and for my 2 cents I can help you with your bike purchase. I have been putting off buying my RK for about 5 years now. I finally realized that you only get one shot and "sometimes you just have to say what the f&%@". I now realize I should have done this five years ago. Good luck, but if you are like me, it's going to be a long winter. Welcome.
