New Member Intro- 06 XL1200L
My Name is Ed Torres and I live in Walnut Creek, CA (San Francisco East B).Just wanted to say Hello. I just bought my 06 Sportster 1200L Vivid Black in July. work has kept the miles to only 1700.
Put a sundowner 2-Up seat, sissy bar (detachable) and tinted Sports windshield right after delivery. Suspension is way too soft, frt and rear. I put Progressive 412 HD 13" shocks and will change the forks to XL1200R with HD Progressive springs. Sold my 2002 Gold Wing and bought this bike. I forgot how well a Sportster handles and it is so much lighter.
Need to get a bigger, detachable windshield, upgrade the exhaust and do some carb work. that's all for now, ET
