Possibly New Iron Owner, Tips Please!
Hello All!
I have my eye on an 2011 Iron 883 out of an Illinois Harley Dealer. I actually put a deposit down on it yesterday because I was told they sell quickly. I told the dealer I didn't want to buy on the spot because I would just feel more comfortable buying the bike after I take the Riders Edge course this coming weekend. My question for you guys is what advice would you have about buying? Such as, have any of you received any in store credit to buy accessories because I already have my eye on some upgrades. Any and all advice about buying a new bike in general would be much appreciated as this will be my first.
Thanks for any input!

Welcome from the Joliet area. Depending on which dealer you are going with expect a 20% discount for the first 30 days and if you ask maybe the 1K service. Most in our area don't give much.

Welcome to the forum. See if they will give you credit toward accesories for you, like a helmet and jacket. You may also want to look at a crash bar. They will save you a lot of cash if you accidentally tip the thing over.

NDBadlands4-2, Thanks for that tip, I wasn't even looking at one of those until you just mentioned it!
Hopefully all goes well and I will have some pictures and good news next week!

Newbie too, just picked up an 883 all tricked up with Rush pipes and lotsa chrome. Now if weather would just warm up enough to get in a good ride. Want to learned all I can about bike, care, etc. but you are right walking into a Harley showroom as a newbie is intimidating!
