New from west Kentucky
Hello, I been riding bikes off and on since I was 6. Mostly dirt bikes and sport bikes. This will be my first cruiser and I decided to go with Harley Davidson.
I was set on getting a Nightster, I like the style, but now I'm not so sure. My buddies all tell me its a chick bike, or that its not made for 2-up riding. Now I am looking at the Superglide Custom. I didn't plan on spending that much for a bike, but I want it to be comfortable without being too bulky. Is the Superglide a good choice?

Welcome to the forum, but not starting off well w/the "chick bike" comment. Don't listen to your buds - get on some HD's & test ride. Nightster is an awesome scoot & I actually plan to add a 883 Iron to my stable when finances allow. Ride safe!

I don't mean to offend anyone, just something my buddies said not how I feel. Personally I like the Iron and the Nightster, really like the forty eight. Me and my girl weigh a combined 350 lbs give or take. I just want to make sure the bike will work well for 2-up riding before I take the plunge.

Welcome from Brandenburg. Suggest you get what you want, no such thing as a chick bike man. I bought a Superglide Custom for my wife, and I enjoy that bike just as much. Plenty of power and the 6 speed trans is awesome. Have a buddy w/a 48 and his wife an Iron, and they both enjoy them immensely. In my opinion only, the longer wheelbase will benefit you for long rides, but does come w/a higher price. Get what you want, make it fit you (bars, seat, controls) and ride the **** out of it!
