I have some friends from Murray State who were from Hickman. I grew up about 30 miles upriver from you.

welcome from Eastern Kentucky! Ashland to be exact. I was in the same predicament and I decided I would go with the larger Super Glide and I couldn't be happier. For me it came down to finances as well as just picking out a bike I liked. I wanted a Nightster pretty bad and finally narrowed it down to that and the super glide but being a tall guy (6'3" and 190 pounds) I decided that as much as I loved the 1200N, the Super Glide was more comfortable and just felt right. I still love the Nightster, but I'm just a bit too big a boy for it. Just go with what you're comfortable with. A nightster is just as much a Harley as a Dyna, Softail, etc...so don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Also, I got my 2008 Glide for $9500. only 5000 miles and forward controls were already added. Found it in Columbus. If you look around and are patient, you can find some really good deals out there like I did.

Ride safe and feel confident in whatever you buy.

Welcome from Ohio. My first Harley was a Super Glide Custom. Nice machine and handled great. You can't go wrong IMO. And tell anyone that says a Nightster is a chick's bike to lick your ballz.
