Welcome from Illinois. Yes that is one of my standard posts in here. I post in here to make others feel welcomed here as I was when I joined here. heck if no one had welcomed me I might not have stuck around.

I am one who posts to most new members and for several reasons. I like to welcome people and try and comment on their quest for their perfect Harley and I try and THANK every service member who I have an enourmous amount of respect for. I also like to comment on new member's bikes. For most of us having a Harley is very special. There's no reward for posts but I hope new members enjoy someone who reads their first post and can contact me for any opinions.

Welcome aboard from New York. I was told by a guy on another forum once that he posted in a welcome forum and felt unwanted because he only got a few responses so I try to make others feel like home. Too many people worry about post counts on the web forums. Who really cares about how many posts someone has its really not that important.

I don't even think about post counts, but try to greet new members unless the response is already large, then whats the point of pileing on? Never heard of spring cam tensioner problem til I read the posts. The Flhti is now in the shop having the hydraulic tensioners installed. Otherwise I probably would have lost a motor. Greateful for the knowledge shared.

WELCOME!! I agree that this is a great forum for knowledge, both useful and not.
But it's a good time killer too. It's always nice to know someone noticed you even in the digital world online. Would suck to walk into new bar, say hi, and get nothing...... It did frustrate me when I commented back on a post to my newbie post and never got a reply back, but hey it's just the welcome post anyways.
