Welcome to the forum & even though Sporty's are great bikes - might be a tad small for your frame. Go sit on a few bikes & you'll see which would be better...

It's only too small if you think it is. Go test ride one.

Welcome to the forum from Georgia.

I will say that I'm 6'-2" and 250lbs and I had a Sportster, even rode it to Sturgis and back. If you set the bike up right for your comfort level with a seat, highway bars and things like that it is very comfortable. The Sporty was the funnest and best handling Harley I have ever owned and would consider getting another one someday. The only reason I sold it was to get a softail so the girl could be more comfy on the back.

Go out and test ride a few different models, figure out what type of riding you will be doing the most and then decide what ya want.

Point being is a Sporty is not too small if you can be comfy and it fits the way you want to ride.

Thanks....
Welcome to the forum - if you opt for the Street Bob, make sure you allow for forward controls or you'll be just as cramped. The Dyna WideGlides come stock with them also for another choice.

You're too big, period. You'll have it for 6 months and it'll be for sale along with the other 1/2 million Sportys out there for sale. Even "look" wise you're too big.find somebody thats built like you, have em sit on the bike and you walk around and look....you'll agree....too big you,too small bike.
But get yourself somethin, you'll never look back....
