wide glide
New here, last harley I had was in 1970. I love my new 2005 wide glide which I purchased used for $ 7900 and it has only 4900 miles on it. I took it to a dealer to check it out before it bought, and it was said to be in perfect condition. I will be asking some question about it's upkeep. Such as the best oil and how often to change. I did add mid mount foot pegs just to give me another place to put my feet from time to time. I have all the info for this if anyone is interested.

Congradts on your Wide Glide! I am intrested what you used for mid mount pegs. I have an 04 Wide Glide. thanks.

I used parts 50649-90 and 50639-90 to mount my mid foot rest. They are on ebay but or over priced. My local dealer gave me the parts from a take off from a dyna. I love having another place to rest my feet fom time to time. It was a simple bolt on process. I have stock exhaust so i don't know how they would work if you have after market exhaust system. The frame changed in 2006 so i don"t know what would work with them.

The parts number are 50649-90 and 50639-90. They bolt right to your frame. Such an easy job. Then add your foot pegs to finish the project. On ebay they are a lot of these parts but to me are way over priced. My local dealer gave me the parts from a take off from a dyna that wanted forward controls. The frame of a wide glide changed in 2006 so make such of what you get. If you have a pre 2006 wide glide the parts number will work perfectly.
