Default Hi, we're the new people!

Hi, I'm Courtney and my husband is Nathan. We're new to this forum but not to bikes. My family traded in used bikes for years and years and I grew up on the back of my dad's Harley cause my mom didn't like to ride. My husband has owned Harleys longer than he's had a driver's license. We met in high school but I wasn't allowed to date him then. I guess he reminded my dad too much of him at that age but we got together when I was in college and we've been together ever since. We bought our first Harley together in 2001 and I went to my first bike meet last fall in Cherokee (and loved it). Hubby works as a mechanic at a local power sports shop and since then he's kind of lost interest in riding. I'm trying to renew his interest in riding and appreciate any help I can get. That's pretty much us!

Welcome to the forums. Is the bike you ride a newer one or does your husband have to ride and wrench?

One I idea to get him on the bike, is to consider a weekly ride for dinner.

We've got 2001 Road King but he had a 57 FLH when we started dating. We have totally had to ride and wrench! He tried to convince me that all bikes rode about as comfortable as that old pan but I grew up on the back of my dad's Electra Glide. It seems like since he has had to work on bikes and deal with them every day riding has lost it's luster. The dinner thing is a good idea though, he takes his food seriously.
