New Forum Member From New Hampshire
I've been a lurker for months (since I started looking at buying an HD) and joined a couple of days ago. Already introduced myself in the Ladies section, but have a reason to introduce myself to the general forum now.
I've been riding a Suzuki C50 for 3 seasons now and have gotten tired of reaching for another gear that isn't there. Got the Suzi thinking I would use it to get experience on before upgrading to a Harley, but figured it would be a couple more years before that happened anyway.
A couple of months ago I paid off the Suzi and was thinking about adding more parts (it's a disease no matter what the manufacturer!). I've always loved the hubbies HDs (he's had 3 in the last 20 years) and decided this was probably the best time to start looking for a used one for myself.
I've been going to a couple of the local dealers every week or so for a while, and yesterday the hubby and I went to a couple of others that are further afield (a dealer and a resaler). Today, we decided to go even further afield to another couple of dealers. I found a 2006 Street Glide, and a deal that I just could not turn down (after a bit of dickering of course). I had really thought I would end up with a 03 or 04 EG classic because I didn't think I could get a SG at a price I could go for. Well, the dealer made it possible, so I'm now the proud owner of a Black Pearl 2006 SG
. Now I can't wait for spring!
