1963 harley fl duoglide
Hello,I am a new member.I am going to get right to my point of joining this forum.
Hello,I am looking at buying a used 1963 duoglide fl from a private seller.
Before I buy it I was wondering if you could help me authenticate it.
The seller wants $13,000,it has just over 25,000 miles. It looks all original. The vin number is 63 fl 7178.
I was told buy the owner it was a limited edition model limited amount made or known to exist and jay lenno owns one.The problem is I can not find out if what she said is true.
Before I give the buyer $13,000 I would like to know if what she said is correct.
The bike has been sitting in a barn for 17 years. It is pretty rough but all there.
Any help would be appreciatted, thank you Steve.

Good looking bike, looks original to me, but I'm no expert. Every thing the owner told you was true, there was a limited amount made and only a limited amount still exist, plus I would be surprised if Jay Leno didn't own a 63 FL.

Welcome, I might contact HD to see if they have records on it. Only real way to be sure. Not that the guy is trying to rip you, just better to be safe than sorry. Does it run? Many more questions before anyone could make a decision by looking at a few pix.

Welcome to the forum. I think the lady is asking probably double what this bike is worth. You do realize it's gonna cost serious money to get this bike road ready, don't you? In this economy you can get a pretty new bike for $13,000.
