Hello everyone, I just joined this site but have been using it for quit some time. I recently took delivery of a 2011 Electra Glide Ultra Limited in psychedelic purple/vivid black. I must say it is beautiful! I traded in a 2006 Ultra Classic in Cobalt Blue that I loved! It had 53K miles on it and it was time to make the move. I only have 500 plus miles on the 2011 but so far I am thinking the 2006 had a better ride. Has anyone else come off an older Harley and felt the same way. I just put more air in the shocks and the tires. This weekend she will get another run to see if that improves the ride. I do love the 103, 6 speed, and heated grips.

I would agree with you about the ride. It is firmer and at times somewhat harsh compared to the last generation frame. The shock pressure did have a noticeable effect on my bike. I'm 240 lbs. and 40 to 45 psi seems to work well for me. Now that the frame doesn't flex over bumps and the bike has real tires (with a shorter sidewall) the low rent stock suspension is really showing it's age. The upside is a great handling chassis and modern tire sizes and technology. I've become accustomed to the ride over the 4000 miles I've put on the bike. There are aftermarket fork kits and stocks if that appeals to you.
