New to Harleys. Acutally I had owned a Harley Davidson Rapido back in the early 70's. Until recently I had a GL1800 Goldwing. Loved the ride and power, hated the tupperware looks. Now I'm looking very strongly at a new Untra Limited, probably in the dark root beer/light root beer color. I live in ND were we are still free to go helmetless and smash our heads open if we please. I like having the choice. Gonna test ride next week. If I like it, I'll probably work out a deal. I plan on a stage one and the 255 cams. I'm used to some good power and don't want to be without it. That's it I guess. Hi to all.

Sounds bout like me, 1st HD in 72, then (3) 750's and (3) wings, but when they went to the 1500 IMO they looked like a Submarine so we parted.

Our 07 TC Heritage is by far the best one we've ever had...

Might also check out the S&S 551 cams to compare the 255 to.
Our Master wrench at our dealership is now liking those over the 255's.. son just put them in his new Steeet glide last week.
This is his 1st tourer and he loves the set-up. Talking bout stump pullers and there still strong between 4-5.5k rpms, where the 255 falls off more.
They also have the EASY starts if U plan to go big bore..

He ended up with 95TQ/82HP and thats with a 4th gear pull, SAE and the tuner sits on the bike...
If U Compare that to a 5th gear, STD and it'd easy be 100+TQ/85+HP.
What I like about them is there still at 80 when the lines cross..

Also need to add that's with the new V&H's 2-1-2 Header system.

Welcome to the Forum and safe riding.
