Thanks for the advice SeeMeDo and Schwangster... I did change the plugs to NGK iridiums...local wrenches say they're crap...will change back to the Harley...Bosch was recommended by one...funny thing for a WW II vet's son to go from Jap plugs to Kraut...think I'll stick with the Harley/Champion ones for now...

 

Welcome from a fellow EVO rider!! My 92 is a bit cold hearted but I often ride in sub 50 degree weather here in AK!! HECK MOST of this CRAPPY summer so far, we just broke a 50 year record for the LONGEST rainy streak in southcentral AK; 32 DAYS AND COUNTING....Temps haven't been very decent either. I run the HD platinum plugs. Mine has an S/S E Shorty and I just hit the enricher to start it, let it run for 20-30 seconds with it on, flip it off and GO!! It does not want to idle right away but runs STRONG when it's cool. Hope you get it figured out. Try running some premium fuel thru it, and check the fuel filter.
