Hi all! I have just picked up my 1996 Sportster 883c, just to discover that I can only just reach the forward controls (being a 5ft shortarse), so if anyone has any mid pegs going begging or would like to swop for the forward controls please let me know!! Love the bike apart from that, oh and the really stiff clutch
welcome from north carolina, can't help you with the controls, try the sportster section. If your cable has never been replaced, a new one may make it a little bit easier to pull.

What about swapping the seat? They have a fit shop section to change bars, seats, suspension, etc. They had a 5' 1" girl on an Electraglide and made it fit like a glove. Harley makes seats with shape and padding specifically to move you closer, and in fact sell something called the extreme reach seat with even more of the same. They'll get you there. Regarding the clutch, lubing or replacing the cable has already been mentioned. How about smaller diameter grips? They will leave more of your finger area for strength on the lever. Then there are different contour clutch and brake levers out there that are more of a "V" shape to give more mechanical advantage. Go for it!
