Default New to site.. Not new rider..

Hi all

It's me, GENRLEE01, aka David Mattas. I'm 42 years old and from Fort Smith, AR. I'm a newb to this forum as well as being a new Harley Davidson owner. I just purchased a 2007 Sportster 1200 Custom. Will take delivery of it tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait!! It's got 20K miles on it and have been told it's high mileage for a bike but others have told me that it's barely broken in. So who knows. Only time will tell, I suppose. I've been riding motorcycles for approx. 15 years and love every single minute of it. There's nothing like it on the planet!

Anyways. HI EVERYONE!! Hopefully I will gain a wealth of knowledge from all you harley owners and even get some tips as well. LIVE TO RIDE!! RIDE TO LIVE!!

Agree with the just broken in..
Mine didn't free up till 15-20k on her and even at 25k she just runs better.

to me high mileage would be like 80-100+k

Welcome to the Forum and safe riding.

Default bad fork seal??

Thanks to everyone for welcoming me here. I've heard there's no family like a harley family. I'm thinking that what I've heard is true. Took delivery just a few hours ago and had to come to work. When I got to work and got off the bike, I noticed that the right front fork had oil or what smelled like oil on it. Is this a bad fork seal? I'm going to contact the bike lot I purchased it from and see if they'll make it right. They should. I just bought the thing and only put 15 miles on it.
