stator removal
just found the site. Can anyone help me out with this. I am trying to removw the stator but i cant loosen the nut on the shaft coming out of the engine.I have tried everything impact gun and breaker bar it still wont even move at all. thanks for your help. Its on a 93 sporster

I had the same trouble on my '83 FLHTC I finally used an impact and put the transmission in gear and helper hold the brake. There will probably be someone come on later and give you a secret way to get it off.Those nuts are as tight as a clam's patootie, and thats water tight.
