stator removal

RE: stator removal
if you measure from the engine sprocket at about 1600 (4 O'clock) to the trans/clutch sprocket @ 1000. Then cut a piece of flat stock 1/4 x 1/2 the length measured. You now have a Jamb Bar. This will prevent the engine/trans from turning. You then can remove the primary nut with a breaker bar. Installation is the oposite. place the bar @1400 (2 O'clock) on the engine sprocket and 0700 - 0800 on the trans sprocket to tighten the nut and then torque. You may need to modify one end of the bar by cutting it down to 1/4 wide instead of 1/2 wide to get the best fit.
