Layne, welcome from Oregon. My wife started on an 883L, graduated to a LowRider and now has the bike of her dreams, an 08 Deluxe. We rode through Helena last summer. I grew up in Kalispell and we are an USAF family, too. Ride safe and both of you enjoy those new Harleys!

Hey Layne, congrats on your first Harleys. Where did you get your name, is that a family name? My grandpa's and son's middle name is Layne, with a "y". My great-grandmother's maiden name was Layne. I rarely see it spelled that way.

Thanks for your service to our country. Welcome from soggy Music City.

Welcome from Fayettenam, NC, the best riding buddy is the wife in my book, (besides the fact she is never ready when I am). Happy Riding.

Thanks! I am actually named after my Mom... She is Patricia Elaine and I am Patrick Layne. She never liked to be called Pat and goes by Tricia so I guess being "conservative" yet somewhat odd Idaho people mom and dad figured they couldn't call me Trick so I have been Layne ever since... Oddly, she does not like to be called Senior either... Must be a woman thing... It has been a pretty good conversation piece and has gotten a few laughs (much to her chagrin)!

Thanks again everyone for the warm welcomes! We can't wait for some warm, non snowy weather so we can get out and ride! It seems like if you buy two bikes in a month that winter returns... JUST A WARNING!
