New Guy-No Harley yet

I do have a bike, (Metric) and I absolutly hate it.
What kind of metric do u have?
W/O metrics, there would be no twin cams...no rubber mounted motors...no no-leaky bikes. H-D had to face the reality that Japanese mfgs were making better bikes for less money.
Ask Sonny Barger bout dat.
I have a VStar 1100 and if it had had a sixth gear i likely would never have bothered to look into, let alone buy, the Springer Classic i have now (and love to death i might add). I haven't be able to bring myself to sell the VStar yet but finances will force the issue purdy durn soon.
Harley's being expensive and all...but a helluva lot of fun to customize.
If it weren't for the VStar (the first v-twin i ever owned) i wouldn't have the Springer.
And i love rice.

Hey yall! I am back, and I am back in the states........with a new Harley!!! I went to the local dealership yesterday just to "look around," and later that day, my wife and I are the owners of 2 brand new Harley's. I got a 2010 Nightster, and she got a 2010 Iron 883. They were dropped off a couple hours ago. A quick pic.........
Here is mine sitting in front of my truck..
Before I even rode it, I switched them mirrors to underneath the handle bars. After my first ride, (which was about 1/4 mile; can't legally ride it, BS army rules, gotta get a new packet together for the new bike,) I painted the rear fender reflector with a coat of the VHT night shade.
So far I LOVE the bike. It fits me PERFECTLY. I had the forward controls thrown on there. I wanted to do it myself, but they gave me such a great deal I let them do it.

My wife is new to riding. I didn't want her to get a new bike, but I couldn't get one unless she got one. I am going to look around for a real POS for her to learn on. Maybe a Honda shadow or something similar. Something I can pick up for a couple hundred bucks, then sell for a couple hundred bucks.
