New Mexico in the house!
Hey my name is Jack Kilpatrick in Las Cruces, NM, near El Paso, TX. I just got a 2003 Sportster 883 from my father in law. Rode a bunch of Japanese bikes about 15 years ago. Then I was bikeless, getting married, had a child, career. Then my father in law called and offered to sell me his Harley cheap-I had to jump on it. This is the first Harley I've been on and it's great. Something more raw about it that's a lot more fun than the Japanese stuff for me. I'm having a lot of fun just trying to adjust to riding again and riding this particular bike.I'll probably be posting some questions in the Sportster forum, and just trying to learn my way around this bike. I ordered "Fix My Hog" and the Clyme manual, so hopefully I'll be able to do the maintenance myself-another new experience for me.I really like the friendliness, helpfulness, and intelligence of this forum. Thanks!
