Hey Bro, let me know how it turns out. My '88 FLST has a whining when decelerating only. It sounds like a turbo fan belt type whine. I rebuilt everything from the stator back to the and including inside the tranny with all new bearings and seals etc, but it still whines. I'm also thinking of a cam bearing R&R. Before I tear into it again I would like some feedback. Good Luck.
